Payment

I welcome conversations around finances and invite you to discuss any concerns or questions you may have about my fees with me over the phone or at an initial session, and I offer a sliding fee scale in the event that discounted services are necessary.  My standard fee is $100.  I accept all major credit cards, cash, and checks.

I am not currently in-network with any insurance companies, but I can provide you with a receipt for services (a superbill) to seek reimbursement utilizing your out-of-network benefits.  Many of my clients are unsure if they have out-of-network coverage, and if so, what it is.  It’s incredibly easy to find out.  Pull the insurance card out of your wallet and flip it over to the back.  There should be a number that says something like “customer service” or “member services.”  Give that number a call and ask them what your out-of-network benefits are, and within about five minutes you’ll know whether or not you’ll be reimbursed by insurance.

All fees represented on my website and sliding scale reflect a cash discount when paying by cash or check. Due to additional processing fees, payment by credit/debit card will not be at the discounted rate but will be adjusted higher by 3.5%.  All fees will be payable at the beginning of each session unless otherwise agreed upon in advance.

A 24 hour notice must be given for cancellation of any appointment, otherwise the client will be responsible for payment in full.  In case of emergencies or illness exceptions can be made.

If a client’s payment by check is returned due to insufficient funds, the client will be charged for all NSF charges and penalty fees.

I received my Master’s degree in counseling from Multnomah University in 2015.  Currently I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern, R3926, and my supervisor is Nathan Hawkins, LPC.  My office is located in the Tigard/SW Portland area.
